In 2008, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed came out on many different consoles. A sequel: Star Wars The Force Unleashed II came out two years later. Most people agreed the first game was decent, but most sequels don’t live up to their original. While everyone agreed the first game was decent, would people feel the same about the second game?

The levels of the game are not the same. They have the platforming levels you would expect to see in a Star Wars game but you also have levels where you have to run towards the screen facing your character from the start while an aircraft is trying to shoot you from the side and you have to keep running so you don’t get blown up.

You do start with two lightsabers but you will gain different abilities like shooting lightning at enemies or pushing them across the room without even touching them. You get these abilities by earning points then you spend the points on the attacks you want.

In addition to those abilities, you will be able to use the force which will allow you to crush TIE Fighters just by closing your hand. When you come to the first boss, you will have to use the force to take the shield away, throw it back at the boss then you can finish him off with your lightsabers.

The controls for this game are great. Whether you are trying to get to the next platform, take out a bunch of enemies, or use the force so you can complete levels, the controls worked and never gave me any problems. So I have no problems with any of the controls.

The story of the game is that you were raised as Darth Vader’s apprentice to do his bidding but Darth Vader wants you to be killed since he has no use for you anymore so you have to fight off stormtroopers.

I have no problems with the sound. All the characters look like you would expect them to and they also sound like any Star Wars fan would expect them to. So there is nothing I would change about the sound. One minor change I would change about the graphics is increasing the text size because it was very hard to read meaning you had to rely on listening to the conversations instead of reading along, which could cause a problem if you didn’t hear something clearly.

In addition to the main story, some challenges are also varied. They could vary from hitting the correct combo in time to not letting too many enemies get past you. So once you finish the main story, there are challenges you can attempt to complete to keep yourself entertained.

The gameplay is a lot of fun and it’s not hard to pick up and play the game after a few minutes. I would change nothing about the controls. Since this is a sequel, the story makes sense based on what I know about the story in the first game. I have no problems with the sound and the game has replayability with the challenges. I just felt the text during conversations was too small So I give Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II on the Xbox 360 a 9 out of 10. If you have an Xbox 360, you should try this game out.
