Rogue Warrior Review

Rogue Warrior for the XBox360 was released at the beginning of December 2009. Rogue Warrior mixes the need for shooting action with the need for stealth.

Rogue Warrior is a lot of fun especially when you can stay in the shadows because then you can do a special kill which sometimes looks neater than shooting your way through everyone. There are also a bunch of special kills you can perform depending on how far away the enemy is and what direction the enemy is facing.

On the easy difficulty, Rogue Warrior is a very easy game. When you are low on health, the screen turns to black and white which is your cue to take cover and give yourself a few seconds to heal. As for navigating through the levels, they could not be easier unless they were sidescrolling. The level might look big and confusing but the map has an icon that tells you where to go the whole time. The map also could not be easier to read.

The controls are easy and take no time in terms of getting used to. There were no mistakes when executing the controls while playing the game.

The story of Rogue Warrior is that you are a special operations soldier to see if a North Korean Regime has a new breed of missiles. The story stops there then the first level begins. The story gets updated by the person you play before the start of every new level.

The graphics could be better while the sound could not be better. When it comes to sound, the character you play as verbally provokes your enemies for you and when the music plays, it gives off the right mood for the situation you’re in. However, the graphics could be better because the text is often hard to read so my only gripe about the graphics is to make the text a little bigger.

There is not a lot of playtime for the single-player mission because it was beaten in under four hours on the easy difficulty. There is a multiplayer mode but it requires Xbox live capabilities. If you do not have Xbox live capabilities, there is no replayability with this game.

I give this game a 7 out of 10. The gameplay was fun but the short single-player mode and the multiplayer mode with online capabilities required make this game with very little replayability.
