When you ask people what their favorite Assassins Creed game is, you most likely will get different answers depending on who you ask. Personally, some of my favorites are Assassins Creed: Rogue and Assassins Creed: Syndicate. One game that came out before those entries is Assassins Creed: Revelations a game worth playing or is it one of the games that would be better off skipping?

The gameplay is the same as in previous Assassins Creed games. You can either travel through the air running across rooftops or run around on the ground. One new feature not seen in previous Assassins Creed games is the inclusion of ziplines that you can use to navigate from rooftop to rooftop.

In the second sequence, you learn the ability to craft grenades. There are designated areas in locations where you can put together different grenades as you go through memories. There is also a part where you have to defend certain areas by stationing men with crossbows or guns and you can set barriers to slow down people who are coming to take down your location. Whether or not you like this part will depend on your preference.

The game has a difficulty that is in the middle of the road. When you have to fight off soldiers, it’s easy enough regardless of how many soldiers surround you. However, there was a part in the first sequence where you had to crash into another carriage repeatedly and take that carriage down before your carriage fell apart. I had to redo that part with the carriage a bunch of times before I completed it successfully.

I never tried multiplayer personally. There are different modes of gameplay in the multiplayer mode. However, I can not say much about these modes.

I have no problems with the controls. There are different commands depending on whether you are holding down the right trigger. The controls never failed me so there is nothing I would change about the controls.

The story of the game revolves around Desmond. Desmond is in the animus and the animus is the only thing keeping Desmond alive. Desmond has to relive memories of Ezio Auditore if Desmond wants to return to his world. Ezio Auditore returns to a place that used to belong to the Assassins in Maysaf. Ezio is after the library but there are five locks and the Templars have one of the keys and they have leads on where the other four keys are. Ezio wants to get the five keys before the Templars do so that the information in the library does not fall into the hands of the Templars.

The graphics of the game are great. The areas you travel to look beautiful. I don’t think the graphics could have been done any better on the Xbox 360. Everybody also looks believable so the graphics are fine.

I feel the same way about the sound. I enjoy the music that plays during the game. The voices of the characters sound believable. None of the sound effects bother me so there is nothing I would change about the sound.

So the gameplay is a lot of fun and other than the mission where you have to crash into the cart of your enemies before your carriage falls apart then the game is easy. I have no problem with the controls. Both stories in the game are interesting. I have no problems with the graphics or sound. There is replayability once you complete the game from the multiplayer modes. So I give Assassins Creed: Revelations on the Xbox 360 8 out of 10. If you like the previous Assassins Creed games then you should check out Assassins Creed: Revelations
