When you think of mascots from Nintendo, most people would think of Mario or Link from the Legend Of Zelda. Both have had many games released featuring them. This game has been referred to as one of the greatest games of all time. This game sold close to nine million copies which made it the best-selling Zelda game until Breath Of The Wild was released. I’m talking about: The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Was this game on the Wii one of the best of all time?

Some of the gameplay you had seen in other Zelda games like making your way through dungeons, solving puzzles, and defeating bosses. However, you also do play as a wolf when you are in the twilight world and there are other actions you can do as a wolf like dig to access other areas or find rupees. You can attack with your teeth and jump as a wolf.

The game starts off easy so people who never played a Zelda game will not feel overwhelmed by the difficulty at the beginning of the game. So there is nothing I would change about the difficulty of the game.

Even though you use the Wiimote and Nunchuk in the game, the controls work great whether you are riding Epona, running around on foot as Link, or controlling Link as a wolf. There are a couple of parts in the beginning of the game when you ride on Epona and show the kids how to use your sword which will help you learn the controls of the game.

The game starts off with Link and another character talking about the twilight time of day before being asked to do something the day after tomorrow. However, the kids are abducted by Bublins and when Link tries to get involved, Link gets pilled into a wall of twilight. Link is in this new Twilight world as a wolf and that is when Link meets Midna. who offers to help Link if Link follows her directions no matter what.

The graphics are great in this game. This was a launch title for the Nintendo Wii and I don’t think the graphics could have been done any better. So there is nothing I would change about the graphics in the game.

There isn’t much dialogue in the game. Anytime a conversation happens, it needs to be read and the characters just make sound effects. There isn’t a lot of music except during cutscenes but the music that is played during cutscenes is enjoyable to listen to.

There is no replayability because once you beat The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess, there is no reason to play it again unless you want to play through the story all over again.

So the gameplay is fun and it won’t turn new or casual gamers away with the difficulty. The controls for the Wii work and I have no problem with the story. I love the graphics in the game and considering it was a launch title for the Wii, I don’t think the graphics could have been done any better. I also like the sound of the game. There is no replayability and I don’t like how if you die in a dungeon, you have to start from the beginning of the dungeon. So I give The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess on the Wii a 9 out of 10. If you are a fan of Zelda games and you have a Nintendo Wii, you should check this game out.
