Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been a subject of conversation for the last couple of days. That is not because Shadows is a game that reminds players why they liked the Assassin’s Creed franchise in the first place However, Assassin’s Creed: Shadows is getting a day-one patch that will modify the game.
This day-one patch will keep players from getting stuck in objects after dodging forward. Fix the glitch of certain weapons going missing when the player sells items—keeping the player in bounds when they lean against objects—making traveling on horseback easier to control. Fix issues with clipping on outfits. Unarmed citizens will not blled if they are attacked. Some objects in temples or shrines can not be destroyed.
While this day-one patch will affect all players and not just people in Japan, it seems pretty obvious that these improvements are happening because of the negative opinions on the game. Now the Prime Minister of Japan thinks because you can attack innocent people and destroy locations in video games, will convince people to do the same in real life.
Assassins Creed: Shadows has many problems but this is not one of them. Prime Ministers need to give people more credit and realize that just because someone can do something in a video game, that person knows it can’t be done in real life. In my opinion, Assassin’s Creed games reached their peak with Assassin’s Creed Rogue and Syndicate.
Did you pick up Assassin’s Creed Shadows? Did you stop playing the Assassin’s Creed games? What do you think of the Prime Minister of Japan thinking all people have the IQ of impressionable children? Let me know in the comments section below.
